STEP Ministries is seeking an Executive Director!

The Executive Director will provide overall leadership for STEP Ministries. This position will ensure all programs and activities are serving to carry out and carry forward into the future the Ministry’s mission and vision. This position will also serve as the business manager of the ministry and be the primary liaison between the ministry and churches, donors and the community at-large. The Executive Director will also be responsible to develop and implement strategies to develop resources (people, financial, other) for the ministry in collaboration with the Board of Representatives (and its committees). The position will establish and maintain relationships with ministry staff, volunteers, participants (youth), families in the community, Board of Representative members (and members of its committees), church leadership, as well as local and other community and governmental entities and its officials (i.e. the City of North Little Rock, the North Little Rock Housing Authority, etc.) As STEP Ministries is a vibrant ministry with a small staff, this job description is not intended to be inclusive of all responsibilities, duties and qualifications.

Encourager Program

In-school tutoring in North Little Rock, Little Rock & Pulaski Co. elementary schools; Encouragers meet at the school they select once/week for one hour, building relationships with 2 children for 30 minutes each.  Teachers provide a packet of material for the Encourager to work on with their students.

Mentoring Program

Eastgate & Little Rock Mentoring Centers: Biblical-based, after-school, weekly mentoring of youth ages 8-18 in North Little Rock & Little Rock; Mentors commit to meeting once/week with their mentee to build a relationship through a structured, biblical program which incorporates Bible study, games, life skill training, etc.  Staff provides curriculum & activities.
