Marcus’s Story
It took some time for my mentee to open up to me. But during Bible study one week, he began asking me questions not only about the passage we were studying, but about other things in the Bible, too. I answered his questions as best I could, but some were hard for me to explain or for him to fully understand. Nevertheless, it really showed me his curiosity and desire to learn about God.
Mentoring is not a hard thing to do. And you don’t have to be perfect to do it. There may be challenges but if you are patient and willing to give your best, it’ll make a difference. You will get the chance to make a positive impact on a young person’s life. You get to bond and grow with them. You get to share your knowledge and experiences. For some mentees, you may make all the difference in the world. If you have a heart for people, this is a great opportunity for you.
