We are excited to share that our STEP LR and STEP NLR mentoring centers are now fully staffed!
Mary Porter came on board in early April as the STEP LR Women’s Mentor Coordinator. She and her husband, Rodney, have been actively involved in St. Mark Baptist Church in Little Rock for over 30 years, and she is a leader in women’s ministry with a huge heart for encouraging and discipling women. She has hit the ground running in LR.
And, just a few weeks ago, Robby Taylor started as our STEP LR Men’s Mentor Coordinator. He and his wife live in Greenbrier and are active at Crosspoint Baptist Church. Robby is an Army veteran and overcame a debilitating car accident that took him from wheelchair to climbing stairs! He has quite a story of Jesus’ impact on his life and how God has used other godly men in his life in discipleship.
A key prayer request and need for both of these positions was spiritual maturity and passion for our mission – and God provided His people for these roles in His timing! We are praising Him for His continued favor and faithfulness to STEP!
They join STEP NLR Mentor Coordinators, Rob Smith and Nikita Jackson, and the rest of our team in partnering with God for the vision to “transform the heart of the city through the hope of the Gospel, one mentoring relationship at a time!”
Thank you for partnering with us to reach and mentor MORE under-resourced children in central Arkansas with the hope and truth and love of Jesus!
